According to policy of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, An employee i.e. mechanic of Bharat Gas will be visiting your home for the mandatory inspection of your gas connection which takes place once in every two years. The safety of your home and your family depends upon this inspection.
During the inspection, any faulty gas equipment is to be replaced otherwise your safety is always at risk and your gas supply will be put on hold (Ref Clause 10 of the Security Voucher issued) . The sole responsibility of any untoward incident due to faulty gas equipment will lie on the consumer only. The insurance policy also laps if you do not replace the faulty equipment. Further duringinspection LPG hose is checked for leaks, the working condition of stove is checked & other necessary instructions regarding safe use of LPG are given.
